My name is Devon Fox. I joined the PGA TOUR last year as the new Director of Digital Platform Innovation. I am the first person to fill the role. I am responsible for leading PGA TOUR efforts to create and explore forward leaning technologies that drive interest in the sport of golf. I work closely with Content, Product, and Operations teams to identify transformative technologies that will tell the stories of PGA TOUR players and events in fresh and creative ways. I also work with the team to define how emerging technologies and partnerships may be used to create new and exciting fan experiences. Most of my time is spent initiating and managing pilots, prototypes, experiments, and proof of concept (POC) projects to test new ideas. I analyze the work to create recommendations and partner with Operations and Product teams to integrate and operationalize new products, services, or platforms.
I previously served as Director of Global Operations and Support for Nike. There, I designed, built, and launched an award-winning follow-the-sun team to support global consumer-facing digital technologies and all retail stores (brick and mortar) globally. I also served as Senior Director of Digital Operations at NASCAR where I managed the launch of NASCAR.com, created an Operations team to support the new website and platform, and built and in-house PMO for NASCAR Digital.
Outside of work, I enjoy the beach, spending time with my family, and roller derby. I am a member of the Jacksonville Roller Derby league and I'm constantly surprised by how much the sport teaches me each week.
